It’s my favorite season of the year: PIE SEASON! In 2020, left to our own devices in the face of our first pandemic Thanksgiving, it became clear that my family didn’t care much about traditional foods like turkey and stuffing. And so we made six pies, a variety of savory and sweet—and so was born a beautiful, fun new tradition that my kids and I look forward to each year. Here are some of our pies from previous years:
Yesterday I shared an Edit Your Life mini episode on pie tips and recommendations. You can hear how I build efficiencies into my pie making game.
And I decided to level up my planning situation this year by creating something prettier and more effective than my usual chicken scratch on the back of a recycled flyer approach to sketching out my plan. I created a printable pie planner that includes an overview mapping system, a pie pantry basics tracker, and a weekly planner. I am so excited to sit down tonight to sketch out our plan using this planner! I printed out enough sheets to plan for 9 pies LOL.
