What do you mostly attribute your lack of joint pain to?

I think the nutritional changes that have improved my gut microbiome and reduced inflammation response are the biggies. I also started walking every weekday for 30 minutes which I imagine can only be a positive re: flexibility and strength BUT in the past I have wrestled with joint issues while fit enough to train for races so I do think the nutrition is the big game changer. Also worth noting, in the past I have tried supplements for joint pain but didn't feel much of a difference and I am not taking anything right now. Yay, for food solutions!

I'm excited about Zoe coming to the US. I think they will do very well and help a lot of people. I used to listen to their Podcasts, which were always very informative, but the male host always talked over his female guests, so I quit listening. Thanks for sharing this information.

I LOVED reading this and can't wait to get my own Zoe results. Just following along with the CGM for the 10 days or so I wore mine was fascinating. Some things weren't all that surprising - for example, the Reese's Pieces I had at the movies one night gave me a big spike - but some things were less expected. Ice cream didn't seem to give me as much of a spike, for example. And eating carbs first thing in the morning seemed to give me a much larger spike than if I ate them later in the day, especially if I ate them after a fiber-rich meal. The one day I had eggs, lentils, roasted veg, and ground turkey for breakfast, my sugar basically didn't budge the rest of the day even when I ate carbs. I had read that eating fiber first helped contain spikes but was surprised at how drastically that seemed to be true for me! Walking right after a meal seemed to help a lot too. Can't wait to get my "official" results and see what the Zoe experts say!

That is SO COOL. And I love that ice cream seems to be OK for both of us LOL. I seriously feel like I have a new lease on life not dealing with mid-afternoon spikes. Excited for you to get your results!

Girrrrrrrl. I love this for you!! I am super intrigued by all ZOE offers, too.

I recently started working with a dietician (I love her so much; she is very much about how you feel and everything in moderation) and HOLY COW, many of the same mind-blowing discoveries. I’ve been giving in to self-loathing about my mindless snacking because “I should have more willpower” or whatever, but she very quickly guessed (and it was just as quickly confirmed, through dietary changes) that 1) I was actually hungry, because I wasn’t eating enough protein and 2) my blood sugar control was awful. I would have a little sweet snack and my insulin would spike and the cravings would send me back for more sweets and into the vortex of despair I would go.

I’m super intrigued by the plant diversity issue, too. I’m going to look into that more.

Best quick tip the nutritionist has given me, by the way, in case it helps you or anyone else: unflavored collagen peptide powder in your morning beverage of choice (I put it in my coffee). It’s especially helpful if you’re not a big breakfast person, but either way, it’s basically “protein for free” and a solid start to the day. It has legitimately changed my entire daily eating trajectory, by smoothing out my insulin response, making me feel full, etc.
